    Oh yes, you read it right. Sooner or later this is how marketing case studies will start. Almost all companies are moving towards the era of Outsourcing. Its better, it is more cost effective and less hectic. Companies don’t have to spend days short listing, interviewing and hiring a good Marketing manager and other team members and then train them, so on and so forth.

    Even Giant MNC’s are outsourcing their marketing needs. And when they do so, they have their hands full with brochures, options, quotes and promises. What should their take be when it comes to choosing someone to help with their Marketing needs? What are the key points that any company should keep in mind while deciding on a marketing partner?

    The question that these companies ask themselves are “Why go for a dedicated agency and not give our social media efforts to an inexperienced low wage intern to voice the opinion of a company on social media.” So I have spent some time thinking about this and I realized:

  • QUITE A KCIKSTART!

    Without taking much of your time, I'd write the relevant details. Kcik was born on 22nd July, 2012 or sometime before that as an experiment. Kshitij and I decided to do some work in the field of content writing for clients and see how it goes. Our first client, luckily was Wingify. They chose to get an article written, and in the end liked it. Soon, we bagged the QuizWorks corporate site project, and we had got a start in the world of entrepreneurship.

    Then, we came up with the name Kcik. It took us quite some time to decide between 3 names, but eventually with the help of some friends and a poll on PollDaddy, we were able to zero in on Kcik. Bought the domain, and set up the site :)

    This ain't the right time to really

    judge how good we have been able to do in terms of our work. We're still young! It has been almost a month since we started unofficially, but our team has expanded quite rapidly. We have a team of 3 deveopers, a designer, Saurabh as our VP operations alongwith the two co-founders cum directors i.e. Kshitij and me.

    We're excited with the work infront of us. There are plenty of deals to close, and many clients to service. We still aren't sure which model we'd focus on – an agency model or a product one. Only time will tell that. Although, we're sure of one thing – the work we do would be awesome and damn right creative! Also, as of now our focus is on the digital media space.
